Other things to note Before booking, we want guests to know that this is a historic farmhouse full of charm, character, and unique original details that have been thoughtfully restored while still preserving the home’s early 1900s character. Because of the age and history of the property, guests may notice certain rustic farmhouse features that add to the authenticity and charm of the experience. The home is located in the peaceful countryside just outside of Commerce, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding, stargazing, and enjoying nature. While the property feels secluded and private, guests are still within driving distance of local restaurants, stores, and nearby attractions. Please note that the property operates on a septic system, so we kindly ask guests to be mindful of water usage and only flush toilet paper. Feminine products, wipes, paper towels, grease, or other items should not be flushed or placed down drains to help protect the system during your stay. Guests traveling with horses are welcome to inquire about use of the 5-stall horse barn prior to arrival. The pond is available for catch-and-release fishing just bring your fishing gear, and we ask all guests to help us preserve the beauty of the property by respecting the outdoor spaces and wildlife. The fire pit is available for use for fires and/or grilling. Firewood is not provided. Also be mindful of high winds and burn bans. Due to the rural location, guests may occasionally encounter insects, rodents, snakes, wildlife, uneven ground, or typical country elements that naturally come with a farmhouse setting. We recommend bringing appropriate footwear if you plan to explore the acreage or spend time around the barn and pond. The property was designed for gathering, relaxing, and creating memories, but we do ask guests to be respectful of quiet hours, the home’s furnishings, and neighboring properties. Parties or large events are REQUIRED to be approved in advance. If not approved we will ask you to leave the property without a refund. 10 guests max for overnight stays.
