Holz & Herz Retreat Vacation Home (6 people) in the Southern Harz

Welcome to our holiday home with history and soul, built in 1890, right at the foot of the Harz Mountains. Exposed wood floors, natural materials and warm details give the house its distinctive character. The sheltered wooden terrace is a very special place. Lovingly handcrafted from old scaffolding planks, built with a lot of time, sweat and passion, it is now the heart of the house. A stylish retreat awaits you in about 90 m² with 3 bedrooms. The space The cottage convinces with its ideal location: in just about 5 minutes you can reach the nearby forest, which invites you to take relaxing walks and hikes. Also within walking distance in about 5 minutes is an Edeka market for your daily errands. A baker, butcher (including 24/7 vending machines) a pharmacy and ice cream cafe are nearby. After about 9 minutes, you will reach the Harzquerbahn or Harzer Schmalspurbahn station, from where you can comfortably take a nostalgic ride up to the Brocken. The house is on 3 floors 3 bedrooms with upholstered double bed as well as a pull-out bed "Hemnes" from Ikea and in the attic there are two large mattresses (100x200 cm each) on the floor and are clad with a wooden frame. A cozy reading corner invites you to read, unwind, and relax. The wood-paneled terrace with a hanging chair and lounge sofa is perfect for a glass of wine, for relaxing, for playing or for a cozy get-together. Guest access All areas of the house are available. In the courtyard, you can enjoy the wooden terrace, the "summer kitchen" with dishes and cutlery, and you can also use a table with 6 chairs. Other things to note Many board games (in the living room) and books are provided.
