As a dual-army-veteran-family, we bought this home because we loved the 1950s craftsman character and the location. We spent the last 9 years slowly restoring every inch. Completely brand new interior: upgraded electrical (includes EV charger), plumbing (filter/ softener/ water heaters), windows, furniture, 12” thick mattresses, you name it. Welcome to our Home. The space A custom brick built home from 1956 constructed by a local family and fully restored by a dual veteran couple who raised their young boys in this home. The home stands out as its location sits overlooking the Waynesville Downtown area and Hillside on the river valley. Our goal was to bring color, life and character back into this mid-century craftsman-style home and solidify its place in the Historic Downtown and Original Route 66 location at its 70-year anniversary. The Exterior: The home features ample parking with 5-6 vehicles able to fit in the driveway alone, and space for another 3-4 along the front sidewalk. There’s a basketball hoop and we also added an electric vehicle charger for your convenience in the driveway. The front entrance is accessible along the sidewalk leading up to the front porch. The backyard is fully fenced and equipped with a firepit area, natural trees, flowers and bushes…and a space for little ones to dig and play in the dirt. The expansive back deck has plenty of space for seating, outdoor grilling, entertaining and hosting large outdoor gatherings! Main Floor: (two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, kitchen/ laundry room, sunroom) The main floor has two private bedrooms with individual queen beds. One bedroom is a master suite. The living/ dining room is open concept. The dining room seats 8 and the large couch can seat several as well. The kitchen features a stocked coffee and tea bar can seat another two at the island. The sunroom can seat another six on a separate dining table. It also features a couch with a pull-out queen bed. Upstairs: (two bedrooms, 1 full bath) Each bedroom contains a twin and full bunk bed along with a king bed that can be set back into a daybed/ couch. The bedrooms share a full bath. Guest access You have access to the WHOLE house. We do keep a separated basement unit that currently serves as storage/ warehouse. It's separated and secured. There are also the attic spaces that are sealed off just for safety. Otherwise, the whole home, yard, driveway are all free to access/use.
