Launch the kayaks for an afternoon on the water, cruise the bay in the pedal boat, challenge the family to a game of pickleball, or simply spend the day enjoying the loft with a movie day. As evening arrives, gather around the BBQ for dinner before settling in around the fire pit overlooking the water. Designed with families and groups in mind, the cottage offers two separate living rooms, giving everyone space to spread out while still staying connected. Upstairs, large windows frame beautiful views of the bay and create the perfect setting for movie nights, board games, and time spent together. Downstairs, a cozy second living room provides a welcoming space to gather, share stories from the day, and plan tomorrow's adventures. The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing family meals easy, while the dining areas offer plenty of room to gather around the table after a day of exploring. Whether it's a quick breakfast before heading out or a family dinner back at the cottage, the best conversations often happen here. ** Where You'll Sleep ** After a day filled with adventure, everyone has a comfortable place to settle in for the night. The primary bedroom features a queen bed and 2pc ensuite bathroom, with water views. A second bedroom offers another inviting space with a double bed to recharge, while the third bedroom features two single beds in a trundle set up, making it the perfect setup for kids, cousins, or friends sharing the adventure. Additional sleeping space can be found upstairs, where there is a double pullout sofa and a single daybed. ** Life Outdoors ** The backyard is where Huron Hideaway Cottage truly comes to life. Enjoy family meals at the picnic table or under the gazebo. We've provided a pickleball net for a little friendly competition, along with outdoor toys for younger guests to enjoy. For those looking to get out on the water, you'll find two kayaks available in the garage complete with trolleys for easy transport to the shoreline. A pedal boat is anchored in the bay and ready for guests to enjoy throughout their stay, and life jackets are available for your convenience - make sure guests have the proper fit! As the day winds down, there's no better place to be than around the fire pit, sharing stories, roasting marshmallow skewers, and watching the sun disappear across the water. The sunsets are stunning! Please note there is NO CENTRAL AC at this cottage. It remains pretty cool during the warm months and the breeze off the water is lovely but please consider this when booking! We do provide stand up fans for the bedrooms. Please note that the park bench located to the right of the house is situated on a neighbourhood easement. Residents of the neighbourhood are permitted to use this access point to reach the waterfront and may sit on and use the bench. The fire pit, however, is reserved exclusively for the use of guests staying at the property. Guest access Guest's will have access to the entire main home and the garage. The garage area is mainly for storing garbage and kayaks. The guests will also have full access to the parking lot, water front and all the lawn. This home is entirely private to the guest. Other things to note We ask that the neighbourhood and property itself be treated with respect. No loud noises and we have a zero tolerance policy for unapproved guests above our STR license allowance. No parties of any kind. Ensure no garbage, food, or coolers are left outside as we are in wildlife country who love food! Everything should be brought inside at night.
