Take the elevator down, cross the lawn, and your feet are in the sand. Turtle Beach is the island's shelling beach — uncrowded, backed by the tallest dunes on Siesta Key. Walk it early and you'll have it mostly to yourself. Loggerheads nest here from May through October. Inside are two queen bedrooms and two full baths. The primary takes the corner, with a Gulf-view window, plenty of closet space including a walk-in, and an ensuite with a step-in shower, a built-in seat, a handheld wand, and a grab bar. Cook something real in the kitchen — granite counters, a full range, a French-door refrigerator, a dishwasher, and proper cookware. Two stools at the breakfast bar, and a wraparound banquette with room for everyone. There's a built-in desk nook by the fridge, and your own washer and dryer in the hall. Your private beach storage on the Gulf side is stocked and waiting: four beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. Grab what you need on the way down. Two heated pools open dawn to dusk, and one assigned parking space with a second available by permit. Fish from the community docks on the bay, or have a boat pull right up and collect you for a day on the water. Walk south for dinner on the bay at Turtles or Ophelia's. The free island trolley runs Midnight Pass Road until ten at night — down at this end, put a hand up and it stops.
