Hunter's apartment in the forester's lodge at Schindelbruch

In the forest near Stolberg in the Harz lies the Forsthaus am Schindelbruch. On the first floor is the hunter's apartment. This unique stay is a special place of many family memories. You have brunch in the morning on the large terrace in the sun overlooking a forest meadow. During the day, you can go on hikes along a path that leads directly into the forest. In the evening you will spend unforgettable hours in the hunting lodge. At night, the rooms smell of wood and resin. The space As a climatic health resort, the city of Stolberg charges a visitor's tax per night and person: adults: €2.20 and children 7-18 years: €1.50 (gross). You pay this in cash upon your arrival and receive a Stolberg holiday ticket, which grants you a number of discounts and allows you to use the scheduled services of the Harz transport companies (via the Harz holiday ticket HATIX) free of charge. The hunter's apartment (about 80 sqm) is accessible via the main entrance of the house and a staircase. On the ground floor there is an inhabited apartment and a small office. Facilities: (see plan in the photo gallery) Room I: one double bed (1.80 * 2.00 m) with bed linen, one wardrobe Room II: two single beds (1.00 *2.00 m) next to each other with bed linen, a dresser Room III: a single bed (1.00 * 2.00 m) with bed linen, a small couch and a wardrobe Bathroom: shower, washbasin, toilet, cabinet, hairdryer, shampoo/shower gel, bath towels and toilet paper. (The bathroom is not the newest but clean.) Living room: a couch, five armchairs and a speaker via Bluetooth An extendable dining table with seating area and chairs (up to 8 people) Kitchen: - Plates, cups, glasses and cutlery for 8 people - Cooking pots, pans, bowls, serving plates, cooking utensils, tray, tablecloths, etc. - Oven (stove) - Refrigerator with a small freezer compartment - 4 electric hotplates - Dishwasher - Toaster - Nespresso coffee machine with small capsules - Electric kettle - Basic equipment such as tea & coffee, spices, garbage bags, etc. are provided. Laundry: You share a washing machine and dryer on the ground floor with the apartment on the ground floor. In the single room there is an ironing board with iron and clothes rack. A wardrobe for jackets, boots, etc. is located on the ground floor next to the stairs to the hunter's apartment. Wi-Fi available For children there are games such as Kapla (building blocks), a few books and two card games. For adults, there are two exercise mats in the single room. Terrace: (about 36 m²) 2 deck chairs, 5 garden chairs and 3 small tables Garden: Badminton and a boules game are in the cloakroom on the ground floor. Guest access The Forsthaus is located in the forest at the foot of the Auerberg with the famous Josephskreuz. The only neighbor of this unique privacy is the four-star Hotel Schindelbruch. The Forsthaus has a courtyard right in front of the house where you can park for free. Other things to note The surroundings with large beech forests offer an ideal place for hiking. The city of Stolberg is just a walk away. This small medieval residential town in the Harz low mountain range is like something from a fairy tale. It is located in the narrow valley and consists of old half-timbered houses. Historical cities such as Wernigerode or Goslar and world heritage sites such as Quedlinburg or the Luther Memorials are other cultural destinations in the region.
