Surrounded by the ancient Scots Pine Rothiemurchus forest, Camusmore House is in a large garden in quiet clearing in the woods, with great access to tracks for walking, cycling and many other activities, the Lairig Ghru pass starts just 200m away, yet it is close enough to Aviemore for groceries and eating out. ❤️Outdoor adventures with indoor luxury! We've furnished Camusmore to a high standard in a mix of antique and modern fittings. Exhaust yourself enjoying the abundance of nature during the day, but enjoy a comfy home after and soak those aching muscles in the hot tub jets at night. The outdoor activities at almost too numerous to list; climbing, trail walking, cycling, gorging, kayaking, zip wires, pony trekking, tennis, ski-ing, swimming, sailing, canoeing or picnic on the beach at Loch Morlich. And for the younger kids, an indoor play area. Or you can sit back and watch the birds, red squirrels and deer that visit the garden, binoculars provided! Or a 20 minute drive to the zoo at Kincraig to visit Hamish the young polar bear and many other exotic animals. We have many guide books to the area, the Munroes, the Cairngorms and ordnance survey maps The double garage keeps all your sporting equipment safe, those expensive mountain bikes, fishing tackle, motor bikes, skis, even a car! It has a drying rack for wet clothes, and if things are very muddy, we have an outdoor tap to hose them down. Our utility/boiler room houses a washing machine and tumble drier ❤️Eating in or out There is a great range of cafes and restaurants nearby but you may wish to eat in, in our well equipped large family dining/kitchen. ❤️ Bedrooms 1 and 4 are on the ground floor and Bedrooms 2 and 3 upstairs. Bedroom 1 is very generous with fitted wardrobes, a Super king size bed and an ensuite showeroom. Bedroom 4 has bunk beds and shares the family bathroom and ground floor cloakroom. Bedroom 2 is also generous with a walk in wardrobe, a king size bed and an ensuite showeroom. Bedroom 3 has twin beds, a fitted wardrobe and shares the adjacent family bathroom. ❤️Kid friendly The garden itself is an adventure play area with a rope swing and small scale goalmouth. Easy tracks for little bikes, zip wires, indoor play area nearby, pony trekking, a climbing wall all nearby. At Loch Insh and Loch Morlich there is a huge range of water sports, nearby there is the Landmark Adventure Park, the Reindeer Centre at Glenmore. Or indoors we have a range of kids books and games. We have two high chairs and two travel cots, so can accommodate 8 adults and two children up to age 2. ❤️Dog friendly In the utility room we provide a medium sized basket, some biscuits, water bowl and poo bags. Half of the garden is dog secure, if the gates are shut. We ask that dogs are kept downstairs, are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture, please rinse muddy dogs with the outdoor tap. Please only leave your dog alone in the house if it is in it's cage. Guest access The entire property and garden Other things to note Camusmore House is stricktly non smoking or vaping.
