Avocet cottage is a beautiful 3 storey 2 bedroom period cottage with first floor south facing balcony and sea views right in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea. There is a wonderful south facing patio with cast iron table and chairs to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The ground floor has a covered porch, sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove. The first floor has a master bedroom with French doors leading out onto a full width south facing balcony. The second floor hosts two single beds The space Avocet Cottage is a two bedroom cottage, set over three floors, located in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea and is just a stones throw from the Quay where the infamous sailing boat The Albatross is moored. Avocet Cottage has contemporary and coastal interiors throughout, with touches of traditional features that create a homely feel within this property, with the added benefit of an upstairs balcony and private courtyard with bistro seating. Wells-next-the-Sea is a beautiful coastal town in North Norfolk, with boutique and independent shops, restaurants, pubs and your typical coastal features including arcades, ice cream and fish and chip shops. The sandy beach at Wells is a delightful day out for the whole family, and the Miniature Beach Train that runs from the town to the beach during the summer months is an activity in itself! Avocet Cottage has a well-equipped, contemporary kitchen with traditional features. There is a gas hob, oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave and a Nespresso machine (a starter pack of coffee pods are provided). Through from the kitchen, you’ll fine the open plan sitting and dining room. The sitting room offers a cosy space to relax, with comfortable sofas, a woodburner and television. The dining table with benches comfortably seats 4 guests. We enjoyed decorating the lounge with patterned cushions, mirrors and lamps. Up the Norfolk Winder stairs is the kingsize master bedroom, with built in clothes storage and a vanity sink tucked away in the corner. A huge feature of this master bedroom is the balcony with outside seating. This is a real sun- trap balcony, perfect for sitting out on a hot summers morning enjoying your coffee, or relaxing at the end of the day watching the sunset disappear behind the tiled rooftops. The family shower room has a W.C, sink, and overhead shower. The twin bedroom is located up another set of stairs, which really creates a den-vibe for the little ones or a peaceful space for adults. The painted stone and interesting architecture add an interesting feel to this room. Avocet Cottage has a courtyard with a set of bistro seating, perfect for alfresco dining on a hot summers evening or enjoying a hot drink in the morning before your day begins. Other things to note Please note the staircase is a traditional Norfolk winder so just need to mind your head on your way up and down! We allow up to two well behaved dogs at a cost of £30 per dog.
