In summer, there is a small restaurant business that offers food experiences from homemade cheeses, flatbread, jam and locally produced delicatessens. About Valsjöbyn Valsjöbyn is best known for its fantastic fishing waters, but there is also a lot to do for those interested in nature and/or culture or those who appreciate vast mountain views and the sounds of nature. Nice hunting grounds are also available. Memorials from the emergency period during the Second World War are found, among other places, in the Klintaberg open-air museum. In Valsjöbyn is the village school, which is from preschool to 6th grade. The grocery store Valsjöbua is open Monday to Saturday. Many in the village are multi-taskers and tourism is often combined with other activities. Hollywood star Ann-Margret “The Animal” has her roots in Valsjöbyn and it was here that Kerstin Ekman drew inspiration for some of her most award-winning novels; the trilogy about Vargskinnet and Händelser vid vatten. The movie "Varg" with Peter Stormare has also been filmed in the area.
