The Bakehouse: former bakery in idyllic village

Description

The Bakehouse is a totally self contained, newly renovated characterful detached annex to the left of our house. We also have "The Cob" and "The Barn", each suitable for 2 adults. Situated in a quiet position overlooking historic Thriplow's village green. Just a minute's walk and you reach the award winning community run gastro pub or well stocked village shop. Only 8 miles from the city of Cambridge, so perfect for anyone visiting or working in Cambridge or the surrounding area. The space We have renovated The Bakehouse with loving care and attention to detail and to the highest possible standard - specifically with Airbnb in mind. It is characterful and historic (within the kitchen is the site of the original baker’s oven!). The accommodation includes; a bedroom (with King size bed) and Roberts radio; a sitting room with sofa, table/chairs (an ideal work space) and wall mounted Smart TV; a separate kitchen (with built in oven & hob, microwave, fridge, washer-dryer, Nespresso coffee machine); and a bathroom (with large walk in shower, mirror with shaver socket, basin and toilet). Guest access The black park style gate is the entrance to our property and The Bakehouse has its own parking area adjacent to it, exclusively for Airbnb guests. Guests have full access to the area immediately outside The Bakehouse. There is an outside table and chairs so you can sit and watch the world go by, perhaps whilst enjoying your coffee and complimentary 'Welcome pack' breakfast. (We provide milk, coffee, tea (inc herbal), muesli/granola, yoghurts, bread, spread, jam & marmalade - more than enough for your first night!). We have a Tandem bicycle which guests of The Bakehouse, The Cob and The Barn are welcome to borrow, perhaps to explore the countryside or to visit the numerous local pubs, cafes and restaurants. The rear garden is private with no access for Airbnb guests. Other things to note Although the maximum stay that you can book is 4 weeks, if you would like to stay longer than this it may well be possible - please contact me to discuss. Within The Bakehouse you'll also find a table with 2 chairs (perfect as a workspace), an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, all bedlinen and towels (which will be changed if you stay for longer than a week) and very good wifi connection. Plus a self check-in key box by The Bakehouse front door too. We provide two pillows per guest with different levels of support (Duck Feather & Down pillows and Luxury Anti-Allergy Microfibre pillows). All household items such as hand soap, washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll, toilet paper, laundry powder etc. are provided.
