Description
Slatters Cottage is a Grade II listed, 17th century self-catering cottage in the heart of the North Cotswolds providing easy access to the local Cotwold towns, villages and tourist attractions. Set on a quiet lane in a typical Cotswolds village, Slatters Cottage is a quintessential English country cottage which provides a perfect place to relax and unwind. With inglenook fireplace and log burning stove, the cottage has beautiful views over the award winning village of Bourton-on-the-Hill. The space Our guests at Slatters Cottage have private access to the whole property which includes - downstairs open plan living, dining and kitchen area with large inglenook fireplace and log burner. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside there is a private garden to the front of the cottage, utility room with washing machine and dryer and a private parking space. Guest access Guests have full access to the whole property which has it's own private entrance, front garden and private parking space immediately in front of the cottage. Other things to note Rental Periods During peak holiday periods our minimum booking is 7 nights. Outside of these times our minimum rental is 3 nights. We will favour longer bookings due to the increased cleaning and change over costs associated with short bookings so please understand if we turn down your booking for this reason. We would request that: - 7 night stays start on a Friday or Saturday - 3 night stays start on a Friday or Tuesday - 4 night stays start on a Friday or Monday - 5 nights stays start on a Friday We are unable take bookings that start or end on a UK Public holiday as we are unable to change over the cottage on those days. Our Christmas and New Year breaks are a minimum of 7 nights over Christmas or New Year. Other things to note; We are in the heart of the village of Bourton on the Hill and close to the Grade 1 listed church. The church clock chimes reassuringly in the distance every 15 min. We provide a welcome basket of logs during the winter months. After that guests should purchase further logs, kindling and fire lighters from local super markets/ garages In keeping with Slatters being a 17th Century property the internal stair case is steep with a hand rope bannister. Unfortunately the cottage is not suitable for for those with additional accessibility needs. We have recently upgraded the wifi at the cottage to superfast fibre broadband direct to the property making it easier to stream TV and take video calls. Should Slatters Cottage be booked for your dates or you are looking for a slightly larger place please consider our other cottage in the heart of Blockley just a few mins down the road - listed as Cosy Cottage Blockley - Squire Cottage.
