Beautiful Rambling Cottage for 14

Our rambling cottage sits between Clumber, Thoresby, Rufford and Sherwood parks. 6 bedrooms; three doubles with en suites and two king bedrooms, a twin and two family bathrooms. Accommodates 14 comfortably if some rooms are shared. Dining room is usually set up for 14 but is much larger. A 5 acre field and adventure fort to play in too! Parking for at least 6 cars. The space Cocking Hill House has three receptions rooms - the sitting room, the snug and the dining room that is usually set up for 14 but is much larger. It’s an ideal space for a family group of 8-14 people who wish to stay for a few days, for a work retreat when both accommodation and quiet work facilities are needed; or for a celebration when family may want to stay a few days. Close family stayed 3 days to help set up and clear up during one of our celebrations. Some guests camped in our field, though airbnb rules from August 2020 prohibit groups of more than 16 or parties and events. The kitchen is well equipped, including a double Rangemaster electric oven with 5 gas hobs and large fridge freezer. Perfect if you are planning a dinner party. There is also a utility room with over sized washer and dryer. There is a ground floor double bedroom with ensuite wetroom and toilet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with king sized beds, two with double beds and en suites and one twin room in the attic that can be made into four cosy singles. Please note that bedroom 6 is a large dressing room attached to bedroom 2. It has a double sofa bed. You can see the connecting privacy door in photos between bedroom 2 and 6. Bedroom 6 also has its own door on to a corridor. There are large gardens for children and pets to play in and adults to sit out in. The fire bowl can provide a great place to relax if the weather is fine. We love roasting marshmallows on it. A gas BBQ is also available. There is an upright piano in the dining room for playing and toys that are left are also to be played with. Cocking Hill House was the setting of Christmas Bargain Hunt 2018. Guest access All of the grounds and rooms, with the exception of one ground floor room which will remain locked for storage purposes.
