Villanueva de los Castillejos is a gem among Andalusian villages and offers a doctor/dentist, pharmacies, supermarkets, great restaurants, a hairdresser, a Chinese bazaar and much more. As a highlight, there are also two beautiful outdoor swimming pools open seasonally, one of them in the neighboring village of Almendros. You will certainly feel comfortable in my village. The space Welcome! I am convinced that you will feel comfortable in my small, comfortable oasis in Villanueva de los Castillejos. To be more mobile, however, I recommend renting a car. Otherwise, in my very clean village you will find everything you need to live. There are two large supermarkets, good restaurants, a hairdresser, pharmacy and of course a doctor. Also enjoy the open, warm hospitality of the locals. The house in the character of a duplex has around 120 square meters of living space and is very tastefully furnished. To the front of the quiet street there is a flat terrace, where the car can also be safely parked if necessary. Behind the house is a large courtyard, which is laid out with comfortable lawn and invites you to relax. Two large parasols and a charcoal grill top it all off. Cooler bags are available for a visit to the beach. In the basement there is the large hallway, the living room with TV, DVD player, radio, a shower room and a spacious separate kitchen with integrated washing machine. A clothes rack, iron and ironing board are located on the upper floor. A small spiral staircase leads to the three bedrooms, a large and a smaller double as well as a single room. A folding bed is available for a sixth person. Of course, there is fast Internet throughout the house. The single room is also equipped with a TV and a desk. Not far from the house is a new children's playground. A whole host of cozy bars and restaurants with excellent cuisine invite you to linger. I recommend the bodega "La Terraza" and the "Bar/Tavern Sebastián". Also check out the neighboring village of Almendros with its beautiful church and excellent outdoor pool. Everything is within walking distance. By the way, there is also a nice outdoor pool in Villanueva itself. The whole environment is diverse and very attractive. So you should definitely visit the fantastically beautiful village of Sanlúcar de Guadiana, which is about 15 kilometers from Villanueva de los Castillejos. Take a boat trip on the mighty Guadiana River and cross over to the Portuguese side to Alcoutím. The two places also have plenty to offer in terms of architecture and gastronomy. Head to the beautiful, idyllically located small town of Ayamonte, where you can shop very well. The Atlantic Ocean with its golden sandy beaches is also waiting for you there. Tourism is limited here. And so you will certainly find a quiet place for yourself and your relatives in Isla Canela, Cartaya, Lupe or Isla Cristina. The region around Villanueva de los Castillejos is also a paradise for hikers and cyclists. The corresponding technical ambience can be rented in Ayamonte. And if you want, from there you can also cross the magnificent Rio Guadiana via an architecturally very interesting bridge, and you are already in Portugal's Algarve. Greetings from Tavíra, Faro and Lagos. However, you can also cross by ferry. Don't worry, there are almost no passport controls at the border. By the way, Seville is about an hour and a half away by car. For this extraordinarily beautiful and interesting city you should take at least two days to admire all the sights. On the way there, you will automatically pass the provincial capital of Huelva, which also has its special charms. Villanueva de los Castillejos itself offers some cultural highlights throughout the year. First of all, the "Fiesta Romeria de nuestra Señora de Piedras Albas", which always takes place at Easter, is an experience of a special kind. Food lovers will also get their money's worth. Every July, the "Feria y Velada" takes place, a special week for gourmets. Villanueva de los Castillejos is known for the quality of its meat.
