Castle duplex in Posthalterhof, year 1683, sauna

The large attic duplex apartment is on the 3rd floor of the over 300-year-old Posthalterhof. The apartment is newly renovated with new bathrooms and offers a great ambience with a ceiling height of up to 6 meters. Next to the old super-functional fireplace is a flat-screen TV for relaxing together. Parking and a large terrace with a grill are available. A washing machine and dryer are available. All rooms have Wi-Fi. The space The Posthalterhof was built around 1683 as a postal station of Thurn and Taxis as a station between Cologne and Trier. In the middle of Blankenheim, less than 200 meters from the Ahrquelle, the Posthalterhof is one of the oldest buildings in Blankenheim. Located in the center of Blankenheim, right on the Eifelsteig and the Jakobsweg, it offers guests a place to stay, just like 300 years ago. Warmed by the fire, you can enjoy a good glass of wine from the Ahr while having good conversations. On the large terrace, a large table and a grill are available for 8 people. The third bedroom, the attic duplex, can be reached via a staircase from the living room. IMPORTANT note: the apartment is not accessible. Our new sauna area is ready. On about 70 square meters, including lounge area with castle views, we offer all guests (3 vacation rentals) the sauna plus hot tub and lounge in the 500-year-old vaulted cellar. The use is free of charge, but it must be reserved. The sauna area is available from 10 am to 9 pm. Each apartment can use it individually for up to 2.5 hours a day. From 9:00 pm, the sauna is equally available to all guests. A scheduler is available at check-in. Guest access All guests of the castle maisonette have access to a large outdoor terrace with a large table and a grill. However, this is one floor down. Each guest can enjoy the magnificent castle view in the garden.
