Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Set in the parish of Sandwick in rural Orkney surrounded by farmland, approximately 1.5 miles from the sea at Skaill beach and Skara Brae and approximately 4 miles from the ancient Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and the recently discovered Ness of Brodgar which is currently being excavated. The space The cottage is very recently completely refurbished to a very high spec. Fully fitted kitchen with Rayburn oil fired range, fridge, washer dryer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and ice maker. Underfloor heating in bedroom, en-suite and bathroom (shower, no bath) and original flagstone floor in living room which also features a wood/peat/coal burning stove and sofa bed if required meaning the cottage can cosily accommodate up to four people. Clean towels and bedding provided. Digital TV in living room, kitchen (+ DVD)and bedroom, CD player/radio and lots of books to read. Guest access Full access to the cottage and garden surrounding the small holding which includes pigs, sheep and chickens. Please respect the country code of keeping gates closed. Free Wifi. Other things to note Strictly no smoking inside the cottage. Please note this is a working small holding and we have roaming roosters and an enclosed Jacob ram as well as ewes, lambs, pigs, hens and two friendly and enthusiastic dogs and inquisitive cats. If two guests book and the sofa bed is required then there will be a £20 supplement for the extra laundry. When 3 or more people book the supplement is already included in the initial booking.
