It is a couple of minutes’ walk to the Wolfsteiner Ohe that meanders through the valley, leading from Fryung through one of the most beautiful geotopes in Bavaria, the Buchberger Leite, which is a wildly craggy wild stream with a suspended walkway bridge. The river Ilz flows near the house (ca. 8km away, which is also called the Black Ilz, joining the Danube and the Inn in Passau. The Bavarian Forest national park is nearby, as well as the Arber, Lusen, Dreisessel and Rachel mountains.
