“Beautiful and cosy” converted barn
“Beautiful and cosy” converted barn
Description
We are offering a beautifully converted barn, in a secluded spot about 150m from our house, at the bottom of the garden. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We are happy to welcome a well-behaved dog. We are in the Wealden Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest - Winnie the Pooh territory - and within easy travelling distance of Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne, Glyndebourne, Lewes, Brighton and London. The space The barn is a situated on a quiet country lane and is a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful space to stay, very much enjoyed by guests who visit. There is super-fibre broadband so the barn is suitable for business as well as leisure. There is an abundance of local wildlife that passes by including deer, rabbits, badgers and if you're lucky, owls have been spotted cruising the treetops at dusk. There is a tennis court and 3 acres of park-like garden that you are welcome to enjoy. Guest access The barn is situated on the edge of a hamlet, on the outskirts of Crowborough. It is accessed separately from the house so you may enjoy your own privacy. There is a long, wide, gravel drive for parking vehicles. We provide tennis racquets so that you can play tennis and there is a dedicated terrace next to the tennis court for your exclusive use. Please be aware that although it is not open to guests, there is a swimming pool on the premises. It is about 60m away from the barn and not visible from the grounds surrounding the barn. Parents of young children must be responsible for supervising their children in the garden. Other things to note There is a high-spec, fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher; a dining table and four chairs with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. We have beautiful solid wood flooring throughout the barn and for this reason I would kindly request that you don't wear outdoor shoes whilst indoors. Also, for this reason please don't wear stiletto heels inside the barn. We are happy to welcome a well-behaved dog. We politely request that you keep your dog off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. There are lots of books and toys for younger children. I'm sorry but we cannot permit smoking anywhere on the premises due to the wooden fabric of the building and the surrounding trees and shrubs. By the way, it gets very dark at night, so if you walk over to the pub after dusk, you will need a torch!
