This is the Vickery House. Frederick Vickery came to Gloversville from Worcester, England, at fourteen, drawn to the city's famous glove and leather mills, and worked that trade his whole life. In the early 1930s he and his wife Sabra made this their home; their son Percy lived here until 1975, nearly forty years and two generations of Vickerys at this address. The family made a home here, and we hope you feel it still.
