The house is so close to the fjord and the river that after a 2 min walk you can dip your toe in the refreshing Norddalsfjorden. Valldalen is located between Geiranger and Trollstigen, and is part of the World Heritage area. The spectacular nature also provides fantastic opportunities for great mountain hikes and other nature experiences. A little noisy, but that's what you can expect in an old wooden building. The interior reflects different eras that match the house's amazing charm. The rooms are bright and light. And all rooms have large windows with fjord and or mountain views. The rooms are furnished with good beds (160 width) and lovely duvets. The kitchen is well equipped and practical. Here you have plenty of space to cook or sit down and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. In the kitchen there is also a good freezer that can be used. If you want to order breakfast, we have the opportunity to organize it, delivered from Sylteormen bakery. The cozy garden can be freely used for a morning coffee or just to relax in. The small gate in the garden fence makes it easy to bring the coffee and breakfast down to the lake if you want. The apartment is located in beautiful Valldal city centre. The village is famous for its strawberries and fruit trees. It is only 2-5 min walking distance to the fjord, river, harbor, shops, cafe, bakery, pub, bowling, restaurants, mountains and the local beach. Here it is up to you if you want to swim in the fjord, fish from the promenade or maybe just go for a walk on Bedringens veg along the river Valldøla. The possibilities are just meters away from the house. Or maybe you want to take advantage of all the great hiking opportunities in the mountains around Valldalen. Some of them you can start from Valldal city centre. Valldal Nature Experiences offering rafting, kayak rental, bicycles, Juvethopping, guided mountain tours, etc., are only minutes away. Valldal's history is also special. It was here that Holy Olav landed in 1029 and legend has it that he began to perform miracles here. According to the legend, the serpent was thrown up the mountain during the battle by Olav the Holy, and its contours are still visible today.
