Cottage with skylights on a gravel road in the archipelago

A small, cabin-style cottage without electricity, where you can admire the sky through large skylights. Located near the farm center, where there are farm animals. We are located on the archipelago's Rengastien route on the island of Vähämaa in Velkua, a short and free ferry ride away. Reservations must be made in advance. From here, you can easily continue your journey on the connecting ferry, MS Kaida, to Hakkenpää in Taivassalo (no car traffic) or to Teersalo in Velkua. The space 12m2 private cottage with sleeping area and hallway. Bedding and cleaning are included in the price of the stay. A terrace in front of the cottage with two chairs and a table. You also have access to a dry toilet shared with the owners of the property and any other guests, as well as a small cooking area 70 meters from the cottage. A traditional wood-fired sauna with draw-off water can be rented pre-heated for €20/hour, including towels and peflo mitts. There is no other place to wash up on the property. Please let us know when booking if you would like to use the sauna/shower facilities during your stay. Guest access A small building in our yard with a shared kitchenette with the most common cooking utensils and a dining table. There is no running water, but we will fill containers for you for washing dishes, cooking, and drinking. Shared dry toilet at the end of the barn. A natural beach 300 meters away, a gentle cliff, and beyond that, a mostly gently sloping clay bottom. Other things to note Our farm is home to goats, sheep, chickens, and a dog. The animals make smells and sounds. Our Finnish Lapphund in particular barks a lot. We are located on an island behind the free ferry. Ferry crossings must be booked at least 24 hours before departure in the electronic system; parking spaces are limited. If necessary, we will help you book the ferry. You can view the departures on the Finferries website, Velkua route. Please note that there are no services on the island, so food, for example, must be brought from the mainland. Small village stores with limited opening hours and selections are 0.1 km and 7 km away from the Teersalo ferry dock. The nearest larger grocery stores, gas station, etc. are in the centers of Naantali and Mynämäki, about 35 kilometers away. The cabin has no electricity, heating or cooling. Therefore, the temperature varies according to the outside temperature. There will be electricity in the sauna building/cooking area, where you can, for example, charge your phone.
