Cozy and minimalist small cottage of 11 sqm for overnight stays, close to nature. We think it would suit someone who needs a place to sleep "on the road" and who prioritizes simplicity and affordability over frills and luxury. The cabin does not have running water or drains. But there is water in the cabin and an outdoor toilet. Lillstugan is a 3-minute drive from Highway 70, exit just south of Säter. In the room, there is a bunk bed with a bed on top and a sofa bed on the bottom that pulls out to a 140-cm-wide double bed. On the short side of the bunk bed, there is a small space where the refrigerator and mini-kiosk are stored. The mini-kiosk's selection varies, but we try to make sure there are dry goods that can be prepared with boiled water, such as oatmeal cups, pasta cups, and noodles. And also snacks and sweets. The room also has a dining area with a dining table, two chairs and a stool. In the room, there is a sideboard with a water container, water boiler, egg boiler, tea/coffee/Oboy. Inside the sideboard, there are dishes, cutlery, and cups. Breakfast eggs from the house hens are included in the stay. Guest access Guests have access to the small cottage and the outdoor toilet. Other things to note Since the cabin does not have running water or a drain, we have set up a water tank with a tap that we fill with fresh water before each guest. We also put a container of water in the fridge so that there is cold water to drink. Guests can get more water with a container. The outdoor toilet is about 20 meters away. The host couple live in a house about 20 meters away on the property, but the cabin still feels private in its location. For longer stays where a shower is needed, there is an indoor swimming pool 5 km away in Säter, as well as several lakes in the municipality. In case of an urgent need for a shower, for example, a child in urgent need, there is the possibility to borrow our private bathroom upon request. Bed linen is available to rent for SEK 50 per set, otherwise the tenant will bring their own. From the train station, it takes about 30 minutes to walk to Lillstugan through the Säterdalen ravine system, which is a bit of a nature experience in itself. The bus runs only on weekdays with limited hours. Check-in is done with a key that is in a locked key cabinet by the cabin. It also works well to arrive late at night, even during the night, but we would like the guest to notify us of a late arrival. If a family with more children than beds wishes to rent the cottage, we can arrange for an air mattress. However, it will be tight. Please contact us before booking if you would like a mattress.
