Welcome to natures paradise on the water! Relax with the whole family (including the family pet) at this peaceful retreat. Nestled in the woods on just over 2 acres of waterfront property, this is a nature lovers paradise. Bring your boat and take advantage of our deep water dock. Go kayaking and witness all the wildlife the Rappahannock has to offer. This is a home built for relaxation. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! The space The house is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with 1 king, a queen, and 2 twin beds. Additionally, the couch is a pullout queen and there is a blowup mattress available. We do keep our boat on the lift, and while I do understand the temptation, the lift and boat is off limits. Special notes: For basic store needs, there is a Dollar General in Lively about 10 minutes drive. Kilmarnock is the closest large town about 25 minutes (take Merry Point Ferry if you feel like enjoying the breeze). Guest access Entire house Other things to note Things to do: 1. Golden Eagle Golf course is a fantastic public course in Kilmarnock. 2. Yankee Point marina is just a few miles down the road. They have a pool, occasional live music, an outside bar with friendly folks, and great food at The Black Duck. They also have the only public boat ramp on the Corrotoman. Check out their boat rentals too. 3. There is plenty to do at the house. There are crab pots, kayaks, and fishing rods available for your use. Nothing beats a sunset kayak or just lounging around in the hammock or on the deck or dock. The world is your oyster. 4. Belle Isle State Park is a beautifully maintained area with bike, canoe, or kayak rentals available. Wildlife: Eagles (they are very active in the early Spring), Pelicans, Otters (if you go down to the dock in the morning you will probably see them), Ospreys, and Great Blue Herons.
