"Zum Anker," guest apartment on the Alte Oder

Welcome to our guest apartment in an authentically renovated old townhouse for 1-4 pers. in Oderberg in the biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin. The apartment has 2 rooms, kitchen and 1 shower room, is about 42 sqm and is located on the raised ground floor. Our house is located with the front on the Berliner Str. in Oderberg and in the rear the property is adjacent to the "Alte Oder". The living room is facing the street and the other rooms to the quiet courtyard. The space Welcome! We are happy to introduce you to our house, accommodation and surroundings. The building, which can be traced back to the year 1774 in the area of the main house, used to accommodate a trade for shipping needs and a restaurant for bargees on their way from the Baltic Sea to Berlin. The house has been fundamentally renovated in recent years and restored to its original character as far as possible. At the moment we offer an apartment on the elevated ground floor. The apartment is suitable for an individual, 2 people or for a family. For families with children, we offer price advantages. The apartment is composed by two rooms. Both can be used for both sleeping and active stays. The front room with the window adjacent to the sidewalk is a living room. The living room is a former shop and adjoins the sidewalk with a window window pane made of heat- and sound-protected insulated glass. Here is a sofa bed, which can be converted into a good double bed. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom go out to the back to a quiet old courtyard. Double bed with a maximum lying area of 160 x 200 cm. In the actual bedroom, which is oriented towards the quiet courtyard side overlooking an old dilapidated barn, there are a total of 4 beds. On the one hand, this is a so-called bunk bed made of solid beech wood, which can serve as a single bed or forms a kind of double bed when placed side by side (but with "visitor's scissors"). The bed area is then 180 x 200 cm. A spacious bunk bed also made of beech wood offers sleeping accommodation for 2 people on top of each other. The beds each have a sleeping area of 90 cm X 200 cm. In the back room, however, there is also a small table space for writing and playing games. In both living rooms, fireplace provide cozy warmth during the heating season in addition to the central heating. The bathroom as a shower room goes to the side courtyard , the kitchen is located as a passage room between living room and bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner gas stove. In addition to fridge and washing machine, you will find full kitchen equipment for self-catering. In the bathroom you can use a shower, the toilet is also there and there is next to it a sink with hot and cold water. It intentionally doesn't have a TV in our apartment, radio. Internet (Wifi) is available with DSL 50 reception quality. A guitar is available for musical accompaniment. Right next to the house, there is a romantic alley to the "old or". You can sit there in the sun by the cozy on the shore. Unfortunately, our guest canoe was stolen some time ago, so we recommend the canoe rental located in the village for water hiking. In winter, Berg and Feldmark invite you to take long walks. Cyclists and motorcyclists are also welcome. Storage for two-wheelers are located in the courtyard. Guest access The whole apartment is usable, a kitchen and a washing machine are available. The rental of a canoe is included in the price, the property is directly adjacent to the "Alte Oder", where you can fish wonderfully with a very inexpensive fishing permit card. For long evenings and days of moderate weather, there is a games collection and a small selection of books worth reading. In all rooms there is central heating, in both living rooms there are additional fireplaces, which spread a very direct and cuddly warmth in winter and in the transitional period. Other things to note There is a canoe rental for boats in the village. A trip to the Niederfinow ship hoist by boat or bike is also worthwhile. Further excursions on foot or by bike are offered: the Parsteinsee, a unique clear water lake with swimming opportunities, wonderful hiking trails through mixed forests and past lakes in a natural landscape characterized by the last ice age, excursion to the ecological village Brodowin, excursions to the national park "Unteres Odertal". For swimming, go to the Great Kreebssee and to Bralitz. In our apartment there is deliberately no TV and radio, the landscape around it is too nice to watch TV and if you want, you can use the guitar provided for making music. A few older bikes are available for gondolas if needed.
