"Zum Anker," guest apartment on the Alte Oder

Welcome to our guest apartment in an authentically renovated old townhouse for 1-4 people in Oderberg in the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve. The apartment has 2 rooms, a kitchen and 1 shower room, is about 42 square meters and is located on the raised ground floor. Our house is located with the front on Berliner Str. in Oderberg and in the rear area the property borders the "Old Oder". The living room faces the street and the other rooms face the quiet courtyard. The space Welcome! We are happy to introduce you to our house, the accommodation and surroundings. The building, which can be traced back to the year 1774 in the area of the main house, used to house a trade for shipping supplies and a restaurant for inland skippers on their way from the Baltic Sea to Berlin. The house has been completely renovated in recent years and restored as far as possible in its original character. We currently offer an apartment on the raised ground floor. The apartment is suitable for a single person, 2 people or a family. For families with children, we offer price advantages. The apartment consists of two rooms. Both can be used for sleeping as well as for an active stay. The front room with the window adjacent to the sidewalk is a living room. The living room forms a former shop and borders the sidewalk with a shop window made of heat- and sound-protected insulating glass. There is also a sofa bed that can be converted into a good double bed. The kitchen, bathroom and bedroom go out to the back to a quiet old courtyard. Double bed with a maximum lying area of 160 x 200 cm can be used. In the actual bedroom, which is oriented towards the quiet courtyard side overlooking an old dilapidated barn, there are a total of 4 beds. It is a so-called stacking bed made of solid beech wood, which can serve as a single bed or, when placed next to each other, forms a kind of double bed (but with a "visitor's crack"). The bed area is then 180 x 200 cm. A spacious bunk bed also made of beech wood offers sleeping space for 2 people on top of each other. The beds each have a lying area of 90 cm x 200 cm. In the back room, however, a small table also offers space for writing and playing. In both living rooms, stoves provide cozy warmth in addition to central heating during the heating season. The bathroom as a shower room goes to the side courtyard, the kitchen is located as a passage room between the living room and the bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-burner gas stove. In addition to a fridge and washing machine, you will find a full kitchen for self-catering. In the bathroom you can use a shower, the toilet is also there and there is a sink with hot and cold water next to it. There is intentionally no television or radio in our apartment. Internet (Wi-Fi) is available with DSL 50 reception quality. A guitar is available for musical accompaniment. Right next to the house is a romantic alley to the "Old Oder". You can sit there comfortably on the shore and look at the sun. Unfortunately, our guest canoe was stolen some time ago, so we recommend the canoe rental in the village for water hiking. In winter, Berg and Feldmark invite you to take long walks. Cyclists and motorcyclists are also welcome. Parking for two-wheelers is in the courtyard. Guest access The whole apartment is usable, a kitchen and washing machine are available. The rental of a canoe is included in the price. The property is directly adjacent to the "Old Oder", where you can fish wonderfully with a very inexpensive fishing license card. For long evenings and days with moderate weather, there is a game collection and a small selection of books worth reading. In all rooms there is central heating, in both living rooms there are also stoves that spread a very direct and cozy warmth in winter and in the transitional period. Other things to note Canoe rental for boats is available in the village. A trip to the Niederfinow ship lift by boat or bike is also worthwhile. Further excursions on foot or by bike are available: the Parsteinsee, a unique clear water lake with bathing facilities, wonderful hiking trails through mixed forests and past lakes in a natural landscape shaped by the last ice age, excursion to the eco-village Brodowin, excursions to the "Lower Oder Valley" National Park. For swimming, go to the Great Kreebssee and to Bralitz. In our apartment there is deliberately no television and radio, the landscape around it is too beautiful to watch TV and if you want, you are welcome to use the provided guitar to make music. A few older bicycles are available for cruising around if needed.
