The local village pub, called 'The Kings Arms' , Telephone O1664 444737 serves high quality food. The space The property is quirky but sadly, not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs. It is a double bedroom with a separate shower. The room is beautifully clean , with lots of exposed timber and oak flooring. However, it doesn't have a TV or any other gadgets. It is perfect for a few days stay somewhere quiet with easy access to some delightful countryside. Guest access You are welcome to use the garden. Melton Mowbray, famous for its Street and Livestock Markets on a Tuesday and Sunday Flea Market, Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese is 4 miles away. The splendid towns of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham are roughly 18 miles away. Belvoir Castle with the intriguing new artisan shopping and eating places called 'The Engine Yard' is about 10 miles away and the fabulous Rutland Water is about 15 miles away. During your stay I will be around for some of your stay to help guide you towards the 'must see' areas of this beautiful part of Leicestershire. Other things to note When you arrive, drive through the gate with the big red 'Save British Farming' banner on it. Park in the yard. I will generally leave the Loft Room open for you - so the time you arrive can be flexible. If I am here, I will greet you. If I am not here, just go to the Loft Room and make your self at home.
