Due to the location at the end of the road, this house guarantees privacy, calmness, and silence. Furthermore, the northern lights can be watched on the patio or in the hot tub (clear view with zero surrounding distractions). The house comforts up to 8 people with 3 double bedrooms, and one room with a bunkbed that accommodates 2 people. All bedrooms have at least one window with blinds, and a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. The bathroom is run with natural water and includes a washing machine and dryer. The open kitchen is fully equipped and the American style BBQ can be used as well. The living room is quite cozy, with the option to watch TV (DVD player and DVDs included), or just enjoy each other's company and relax in front of the fireplace. If needed, there is parking space for up to 6 cars. We aim to create a real, authentic experience for our guests by providing recommendations about restaurants, hidden places, and the local culture. From Keflavik International Airport through Reykjavik (129 km/80 mi/1 h 40 min): 1. Continue to Reykjanesbraut / Route 41 (40 km/20 mi/30 min) 2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Reykjanesbraut / Route 41(6.5 km/4 mi/7 min) 3. Take the Route 413 exit towards Route 1/Kópavogur/Rvk-Mjódd (Keep left, go right at the fork) towards Nýbýlavegur/Route 413 (4.5 km/2.75 mi/6 min) 4. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Þjóðvegur 1 (45 km/28 mi/32 min) 5. Just before Selfoss, turn left onto Biskupstungnabraut / Route 35 in Suðurland (35 km/22 mi/25 min) 6. Continue on Route 35 until you cross over a bridge (Brúará). After 0.7 km, turn left into the gate. It’s quite easy to miss, so pay close attention. 7. When you go through the gate, drive straight to the dead end and our house is on the left. From Keflavik International Airport through Selfoss (145 km/90 mi/1 h 51 min): 1. Continue to Reykjanesbraut / Route 41 (12 km/7.5 mi/10 min) 2. Take the exit Grindavikurvegur / Route 43 (13 km/8 mi/10 min) 3. Turn left onto Ránargata / Route 427, followed by an immediate left onto Austurvegur to stay on Route 427. (57 km/35 mi/42 min) 4. Continue on Austurvegur / Route 427 to Þorlákshafnarvegur in Suðurland where you will see a roundabout. Take the 3rd exit onto Þorlákshafnarvegur / Route 38. (7.6 km/4.75 mi/6 min) 5. Turn right to stay on Þorlákshafnarvegur / Route 38. (11 km/6.75 mi/9 min) 6. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Suðurlandsvegur / Route 1 (10 km/6.25 mi/8 min) 7. Continue on Þjóðvegur 1. Turn left onto Biskupstungnabraut /Route 35 in Suðurland. (35 km/22 mi/25 min) 6. Continue on Route 35 until you cross over a bridge (Brúará). After 0.7 km, turn left into the gate.
