Thus, the local bike path, the European long-distance hiking trail, castle ruins, rock landscape, or a large outdoor pool in the vicinity. The Kyrburg with the famous whiskey museum and a private brewery are located within the city. The rock church Idar-Oberstein is 18 km away. The former Disibodenberg Monastery (Hildegard v. Bingen) is 20 km away. Bad Sobernheim, the barefoot path and open-air museum are also 20 km away. The disused copper mine "Fischbach" and the disused slate mine "Bundenbach" are each only 15 km away. Bad Kreuznach can be reached in 35 km. Mainz, Saarbrücken, Trier or Koblenz are approx. 1 hour by car. The train station is about 5 minutes' walk from the apartment.
