For example, the local bike path, the European long-distance hiking trail, castle ruins, rock landscape, or a large Outdoor swimming pool in the vicinity. The Kyrburg with the famous Whisky Museum and a private brewery are located within the city. The rock church of Idar-Oberstein is 18 km away. The former monastery Disibodenberg (Hildegard v. Bingen) is 20 km away. Bad Sobernheim, barefoot path and open-air museum are also 20 km away. The abandoned copper mine "Fischbach" and the also abandoned slate mine "Bundenbach" are only 15 km away. Bad Kreuznach is 35 km away. It is about 1 hour to get to Mainz, Saarbrücken, Trier or Koblenz by car. The train station is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
