Finca Mimosa (Panama House)

200-year-old finca with large botanical garden, on the southern edge of the city of Teguise. Casa Panama, part of Finca Mimosa, is a rare green oasis of tranquility on the island. The 200-year-old finca was built in the traditional country house style in a horseshoe shape around a 135 m² patio. It is surrounded by a 2000 m² exotic garden with many typical island plants and trees, including 28 palm trees, many of them house-high. The space Casa Panama is located in the smaller wing of Finca Mimosa. With a separate entrance and private garden area, it is a self-contained vacation apartment. In front of the apartment is a spacious, shady garden pergola with a built-in corner bench and large table. Here you can sit protected from the wind from morning to evening or just enjoy the view of the garden. A green natural stone wall gives you absolute privacy in your living area. Casa Panama offers an original living experience on around 65 m2. The spacious kitchen is designed so that you can cook, eat and read at the same time. A stove block divides the room into a living and dining area. From the bench around the kitchen table, built in typical Canarian style, you have a wonderful view of the garden. A pull-out sofa in the living area offers additional sleeping possibilities for 1 person. From the kitchen, you can walk at ground level to the large terrace and from there seamlessly into the lushly planted garden. Here, too, the large dining table is framed by a built-in bench, where you can also lie comfortably and doze. This sitting and lying area is covered, while the rest of the terrace invites you to sunbathe on two loungers. From the kitchen-living room, it is two steps down to the living-bedroom. Both rooms are connected by a passage. A hip-high, brick bookcase visually separates the sleeping from the living area. From the large, French double bed, it is two steps to the adjoining daylight shower room. The shower is, typically Canarian, semi-circular. An installed heater provides pleasant warmth on the few cooler days. In the living area there is a two-seater sofa and a TV.
