Bright, updated, and set on a quiet cul-de-sac, our cottage is an easy yes for couples, small families, or friends seeking room to breathe. The space 🏡 THE HOME 33285 Butternut Ct, Lewes, DE 19958 Our place is a classic A-frame in Angola by the Bay, a quiet, gated bayside community on Herring Creek in Lewes. Under the A-frame's peak, the living room sits at the front beneath a vaulted ceiling, with the kitchen behind it and two bedrooms toward the back; a loft overhead adds the third sleeping space. Along the right side, a bright sunroom with its own entrance holds the indoor dining table and a second, sun-filled sitting area. Two sliding glass doors open to the front — one from the living room, one from the sunroom. It's updated throughout and set on a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic, and it suits four comfortably: a couple, a small family, or a few friends. 🛏️ SLEEPING — SLEEPS 4 ★ Bedroom 1 — queen bed ★ Bedroom 2 — queen bed ★ Loft — a third queen in an open loft, reached by steep stairs (no door); a flexible spot for a child, a friend, or anyone who'd like their own space We cap the home at four guests so the single bathroom never feels stretched. 🛁 BATHROOM ★ One full bathroom with a walk-in shower (no tub) ★ Hair dryer provided 🍳 KITCHEN & DINING ★ Full kitchen: stove and oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and blender ★ Cookware, dishware, glasses, and grill tools stocked ★ Indoor dining table in the sunroom 🛋️ LIVING SPACES ★ The living room at the front, under the A-frame's vaulted ceiling ★ A second, sun-filled sitting area in the sunroom ★ Two smart TVs (one in each) and board games 🌳 OUTSIDE ★ A deck spanning the front of the home, with an outdoor dining table and lounge seating under string lights ★ A grill for cookouts ★ A private, grassy backyard edged by trees 💻 WIFI & WORKSPACE ★ High-speed WiFi ★ A desk and chair in the loft for light work 🌡️ COMFORT & LAUNDRY ★ Mini-split heat pumps that both heat and cool the main spaces ★ In-unit washer and dryer (high-end front-loaders) ★ Room-darkening shades for sleeping in 🔑 GUEST ACCESS ✔ The whole home is yours (excluding the rear sheds and one owner's closet) ✔ Self check-in — we send step-by-step gate and door instructions before you arrive 🏊 COMMUNITY AMENITIES (ANGOLA BY THE BAY) Guests are welcome at the community's amenities: ✔ Saltwater clubhouse pool with an adjacent kiddie pool (seasonal) — we provide pool passes for your group ✔ Sports courts: tennis, pickleball, basketball, and bocce, plus shuffleboard and horseshoes ✔ Wooded walking and biking trails throughout the community ✔ A community marina and crabbing docks on the bay ✔ Playground, clubhouse, and — on summer weekends — the Doghouse snack bar 🧺 GOOD TO KNOW ✔ Bed linens and bath towels provided; bring your own beach towels ✔ Streaming only, no cable — sign into your own accounts (we don't provide logins, but we're glad to help you set up after check-in) ✔ Ample off-street driveway parking ✔ Not step-free: 2–3 steps up to enter, and steep stairs to the loft ✔ A wooded, residential community — the beaches are a short drive (roughly 15–25 minutes), so you'll want a car Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire home, with the exception of one closet that is reserved for the owner's personal belongings and supplies. Sheds in the backyard are for owner's use only. The home has a private entrance with self-check-in via lockbox. Other things to note Thank you for choosing our home. Please read the house rules below carefully; they help us protect the space, follow community policies, and ensure a comfortable stay for everyone. If you cannot agree to these rules, contact us within 24 hours of booking and we will cancel your reservation at no charge. 🤝 RESPECTFUL STAY ★ Our goal is a safe, clean, and peaceful stay for you and our neighbors. Please treat our home with care and report any accidental damage right away. ★ Violation of these house rules may result in immediate cancellation of your stay without refund, and/or additional charges (e.g. for bringing pets or for smoking). 👥 OCCUPANCY & GUESTS ★ Maximum 4 guests, including children. We define an occupant as anyone on the property between 11 pm and 7 am. ★ The primary guest must be 25 or older and present for the duration of the stay. You may not book our home for anyone other than yourself and your own travel companions. ★ We may request a valid photo ID after booking for verification. The ID must match the information on your reservation. 🐾 NO PETS or ESAs ★ Pets and emotional support animals (ESAs) are not permitted under any circumstances. We have family members with severe pet allergies, and we deeply appreciate your understanding. 🚬 NO SMOKING, VAPING, ETC. ★ Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the property, including the backyard and front deck. This includes cigarettes, vaping, and cannabis — even with a medical card. 🎉 No EVENTS, PARTIES, OR GATHERINGS ★ Please do not host gatherings, events, or parties at our home. If you plan to have a small, quiet visit from non-overnight guests, message us in advance. 🔇 QUIET HOURS ★ Community quiet hours are 11 pm–8 am. Please keep noise down out of respect for our neighbors; repeated noise complaints can result in community fines. 🛎️ AIRBNB "SERVICES & EXPERIENCES" ★ Hosting or bringing any Airbnb Service or Experience onto the premises is not permitted without our prior written approval. Unauthorized attempts will result in reservation cancellation with no refund. 📹 SECURITY & PRIVACY ★ A Ring video doorbell at the front door faces the street and records audio and video when motion is detected. There are no cameras or microphones anywhere inside the home. 🛏️ LINENS, TOWELS, & HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES ★ Bed linens and bath towels are included — bring your own beach and pool towels. ★ We also provide paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap, and trash bags. 🗑️ TRASH DAY ★ Community trash pickup is on Tuesdays, and the totes go out Monday night. If your stay includes Monday night, please wheel the totes to the curb; if you're here Tuesday, please bring them back in after pickup. Otherwise, please keep them in the driveway next to the house. We appreciate your help keeping our community looking its best. 📋 PRE-ARRIVAL REQUIREMENTS ★ A signed rental agreement and community rental registration are required by the HOA. After booking, we'll ask you for the email address where you'd like us to send these to; please respond promptly as the community requires advance registration. You will need to provide personal information such as email address, phone number, and vehicle registration. These requirements are disclosed in advance so that guests are aware before booking.
