Quaint & Cozy Cottage, Private garden & bike shed

My cottage is a home from home. Just a 5 minute walk from the High Street in the village in a beautifully peaceful setting. Innerleithen itself is renowned for its cycling, especially mountain biking my cottage is ideal base for mountain biking at Glentress or on ‘7 Stanes’ routes. With fun antique shops, pubs, restaurants, craft shops and world famous fishing this would be the perfect place to stay. It’s ideal too for a romantic getaway from everything, yet Edinburgh is only an hour drive away. The space My cottage is a wonderful quiet and quirky place to stay in the heart of the Scottish Borders. In spring 2021 I fitted a new boiler, beautiful new shower and gas oven to make sure your stay is even more comfortable. In the middle of cycling country there is a secure shed for storage of your bikes here on the property. You have full use of my garden to sit out and relax. If you bring your own logs feel free to make use of my chiminea too. Peebles is just 6 miles away and Edinburgh less than an hour drive. Surrounded by stunning countryside there are countless walking and cycling opportunities in the doorstep. Minch Moor on the Southern Upland Way or the Grey Mares Tail are highly recommend. Historical sites such as Melrose Abbey and Crichton Castle are around 30 minutes drive away. Other things to note Head room in the bedroom is limited and the stairs are narrower than standard stairs so please take extra caution. The insurance for the cottage doesn’t allow guests to use the wood burning stove unfortunately.
