There’s no running water, and instead of an indoor bathroom, you’ll use a traditional outhouse. It’s a back-to-basics stay – ideal if you're curious about off-grid living or just want to unplug. The house has kept much of its original charm, with wooden floors, hand-blown glass windows, a cozy fireplace, and a cast iron stove for cooking. Whether you’re enjoying morning coffee in the sun or spending an evening by the fire, the setting is calm, private, and surrounded by nature. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire cottage, including a cozy bedroom, a comfortable living room with a fireplace, and a traditional outhouse. A nearby shed is stocked with firewood for heating and cooking, and the surrounding outdoor space is all yours to enjoy – perfect for relaxing, reading, or just listening to the sounds of nature. Other things to note Please note that the cottage has no running water. We provide 6–7 jerry cans of fresh water at check-in for drinking, cooking, and washing. Bathroom facilities include a traditional outhouse, and there’s also a simple outdoor camping shower set up in the garden during the warmer months. A nearby lake offers a great spot for a refreshing swim.
