If you are looking for nature, you will find it around Kell am See – whether on foot on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig or by cycling along the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a campsite, a globally unique mini-soccer facility, a riding stable, an airfield and a climbing garden. In icy temperatures, an area in the vicinity of the reservoir is also flooded, where skating enthusiasts do their turns. There are also points of contact for naturalists: The Weyrichsbruch, also known as Hochmoor, is one of the few preserved spring moors in Germany. You can walk through the countryside via a wooden footbridge, the Knüppeldamm.
