Apartment in the Birkholz estate house

The former Bismarck estate house, built in 1770 and completely renovated in 2009, is an ideal place for vacations and also workation - for working and relaxing. The stylishly furnished separate apartment (155 sqm) with private entrance, underfloor heating, antique tiled stove, a workplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a hot tub next to the apartment's own terrace as well as a sauna cottage in the extensive park offers the possibility of a varied break in every season. The space The Baroque, listed manor house is located in the southern part of the Altmark on the outskirts of Birkholz in a quiet location with a two-hectare park with old, ensemble-protected trees. Cars can be parked in the on-site parking spaces in the driveway. There is no car traffic. From the slightly elevated terrace of the apartment you can look into the park, but also into the open countryside with forest and pastures. A special feature of the apartment is the equipment for musicians who can rehearse here undisturbed and in peace. A grand piano and music stand are available for this purpose. The apartment is on the first floor and has three bedrooms, two of them each with double beds 160 cm wide and one bedroom with two single beds, each 90 cm wide. In the bedroom with the single beds there is a desk/work table. One of the double bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with two sinks and a shower, the second bathroom with a sink and shower is accessible from the hallway. For small children we offer a maximum of two children's travel cribs, as well as two high chairs, changing mat, baby bath and toys. Dining options indoors can be used either at the large table in the spacious and fully equipped kitchen, at the antique dining table in the living/dining area or outside at the table on the terrace. Our guests are invited to stay in the entire park and can also use the table and chairs on the hill overlooking the manor house. In the apartment there are numerous brochures, hiking maps, cycling maps, art guides, etc. to discover the Altmark. Games for indoor and outdoor use as well as reading for leisure hours are also available to our guests. TV and Brandband Wi-Fi are provided. The hot tub and sauna are for the exclusive use of our guests during their stay. The fire pit in the park can be used all year round. Wood is available for this as well as for the use of the antique tiled stove in the living area. Guest access Large private terrace at the apartment with access to the park. Right next to the manor house is the large village playground with climbing frame, slide and swing. Other things to note In Tangerhütte, 3 km away, there are shops, doctors and pharmacies and the train station, as well as various snacks and a small café with bakery right at the train station. Tangermünde with Kaiserpfalz and Kaisertherme can be reached in 18 minutes by car, Stendal in 25-30 minutes. The S-Bahn or RE can also be used from Tangerhütte to Stendal. The slow food restaurant "Zum Indianer" in Bertingen (8 km) is recommended. A wide selection of restaurants can be found in Tangermünde and Stendal. Our guests will find recommendations in a folder in the apartment. Organic products from the area can be purchased in the organic farm shop nearby, but also in Tangermünde and Stendal. In the outdoor pools of Tangerhütte (3 km) and Lüderitz (18 km), as well as in quarry lakes nearby, there are swimming facilities in summer. If you like water sports in the summer, you can go to the cable island, a water sports and beach resort, at Lake Neustadt in Magdeburg, 35 minutes by car.
