A luxurious two bedroom, two bathroom, former stables block, set amongst lush gardens in the countryside and only six miles from York City Centre The space The Stables is located on the land of a country house originally built in the 1850's as the Dower House to nearby Beningbrough Hall. Sitting within mature gardens, The Stables enjoys wonderful southerly views, private summer house with four person Jacuzzi overlooking a separate private garden and a recently renovated and re-painted tarmac tennis court. Accessed through a private gated driveway, along a long gravelled driveway, lined with lush trees and shrubs with its own private parking spaces for multiple cars. The Space - On entering is the dining room with large wooden table and chairs and 'snug' seating area, perfect for relaxing whilst dinner is being prepared or play some records on the turntable during after dinner drinks. The large lounge with bi-folding doors, allow natural light in with direct access to the private patio with outdoor table and chairs for summer evenings. The lounge also features an impressive built in bookcase, plenty of sofa space and a flat screen TV. The high quality kitchen, although small, has a built in double SMEG oven and hob. It contains all the luxury essentials, including fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave, Nespresso coffee maker and pods and, of course, Yorkshire Tea. Upstairs are two impressive double bedrooms, featuring Queen beds and duck down & feather duvets and pillows. One en-suite houses a large waterfall shower with standalone sinks either side and the other en-suite shows off a free-standing bath where you can look up at the stars through the window. In all the bathrooms you can expect to find luxurious hand wash and creams. Outside, guests have access to the private patio outside the lounge and a large garden. There is also a tarmac tennis court which guests have free use of (inclusive of rackets and balls). Other things to note We kindly ask guests to not wear outdoor shoes in the property. The downstairs has under floor heating but please also feel free to bring your slippers. The property is located in a popular village, close to the East Coast rail line which can be heard (but not accessed) in the grounds.
