On the upper floor of a so-called shabby-chic castle in the Waldviertel is this charming two-room apartment, with kitchen and bathroom. A historic house, inhabited by young families, surrounded by the organically managed estate with a newly opened farm shop. Life here is in harmony with the natural and cultural landscape. Guests are also needed - and many fans who like to come to visit. They are supplied with farm and regional products. The basics are potatoes and onions. The extensive highland cattle farming provides the best meat. The freshly ground grain directly in the farm shop, as well as special niche products, for example various oils or durum vodka, complete the range. Being able to cook well is the result. Enjoy the silence and tranquility and have a good time all around - you can do that here. Guest access Guests coming to Starrein will see the castle from afar. If you drive through the gate, please keep left, towards the farm shop. The signs lead to a parking lot on the east side. The key safe at the east entrance is easy to find there. Up to the right, the spiral staircase, almost to the Knights' Hall, the path leads via the arcade to the charming accommodation. Other things to note One should like and respect castle life, feel comfortable in old walls and crumbling facades. The spirit of the time, which connects the old with the new, can be felt well here. Carefully climbing old stairs, being able to find light switches, wandering around like a ghost, not being afraid, but appreciating the challenge and everyday life in the castle, that is what makes a happy guest. We make the beds fresh, ventilate, bring fresh flowers and herbs, fill the fridge with delicacies from the farm shop on request, but offer no TV, no wellness temple, but much more to get to know each other.
