Grandma House - horses, peace and mountains.

Our cosy, countryside cottage, is located is in splendid surroundings of Rudawy Janowickie. Phenomenal rock climbing areas, great for hikes, mountain biking and horse back riding. Excellent spot for families, friends and couples. The accommodation is a mountain cottage standard in an old countryside house, with well equipped kitchen. Best for people who like outdoor, camping, bonfires and feel comfy with nature at hand, animals and horses grazing by the window. The space Our houses at Magic Mountain are dedicated especially to those who enjoy outdoor activities, and like to spend quality time with their friends, or family by the bonfire with the magnificent view to Jelenia Góra Valley. It is a real countryside experience with crazy-busy non-conventional owners, and interesing guests, that are happy to meet others here. 90% of our guests come back to us several times per year, to experience different seasons here, and also to travel around in this area that is super rich in outdoor acitvities, but also exclusive palaces and stunning hikes in Karkonosze mountains. All our locations offer simple, but tidy interriors, without TV sets, with internet if needed, and roaming animals, that can poke through the window, or visit you - like our dogs who often accompany our guests in their walking or climbing trips. If you want to experience a real rural life, far from civilization (4 km to nearest show, but the brewery is closer!), then this is a place for you. Grandma House offers a stay in a flat with adjacent kitchen, bathroom, saloon/dining room and a sleeping room for 4 persons. The litte cottage can host comfortably 4 persons, with possibility of another 2 persons in the dining room. The price is set for 4 people. Every additional person (max. 3) will be charged 50 PLN per person per night. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, cooking stove (for 3 pots), coffee maker and toaster. It has all necessary utensils, plates and pots for cooking. Our guests define the place as a small independent apartment. To our guests we provide linens (duvet, pillows) and towels. No need for sleeping bags, but if you prefer your sleeping bags it is fine with us as well. The room is available all year long and it has a chimney for wood, and additional electric heaters for colder winter days. It is warm enough in winter. The bathroom has also additional electric heater. In autumn and winter we provide wood for chimney for additional fee (approx. 20 pln per night), depending on how much wood has been used. Due to heating with wood and fireplace we do not reccommend staying in winter with small children - up to 6 - 8 yrs old. The house is easily accessible from the main road in Mniszkow, which ends at the entrance of the Landscape Park. The area offer a lot to see in summer. In summer you can simply stroll around for hours without moving your car - go for rock-climbing, bike rides, nordic walking or enjoy spending time with our horses. You may also choose site seeing in the neighborhood (Karpacz, Szklarska Poreba - all approx. 30 km) or going for hikes in Karkonosze. Also, you may want to go for a beer to Czech Republic (30 km) or even pay a visit to Prague (approx. 3 hrs). Depending, whether you come from big city and are dying to find peace of mind. Or you want to dive into the wildlife or nightlife, let us know in advance and we make sure you have all the info you need. Guest access The room is located in an old building with wide entrance at large piece of land, among pasteries for horses. Horses are roaming around and can be seen and observed from the windows of the house. Our guests can walk among the horses freely and spend quality time here. Other things to note HORSEBACK RIDING We have 20+ horses here. We practice natural horsemanship meaning that our horses spent 24/7 in open air, and we reject abusive training methods. For our guests who come for few days with their children or friends we occassionally offer some activities on communication and understanding horses and their nature, also working with horses from the ground. Since we also train horses for endurance horse riding, and we do not run a regular horse riding classes, please connect with us before your arrival if it is possible to organize walks or other activities with the horses. Especially, if you plan to come to our place with a specific intention of horse riding classes or outdoor horse riding. You may want to spend time with the horses at the meadows and hang out there as long as you want. We ask you kindly not to feed the horses. 1 hr of activities with horses (ride or activities at paddock) - 15 EUR/60 PLN. HELPING at the FARM Many of our guests are happy to engage in general maintenance of the farm that includes organizing wood, collecting horse sheet or helping in fixing the fence. Should you be interested to help us in different works at the farm, please let us know. HELPERS in the FARM Please note, that in the same building we have a separate room which we use mainly in summer, for our friends, who keep horses in our stable, and youth who helps us with horses in summer. This is a separate room from the guests' space.
