The Rooms with a View apartment sits with unobstructed views of the Havel River and Naturpark Westhavelland, a nature reserve and bird sanctuary. The 45m² apartment sleeps three comfortably, the two front rooms have windows overlooking the river, and the entire apartment is decorated with original artwork, including handmade quilts and hand-knotted rugs. Full kitchen, toilet with shower, private entrance, & more. Beach, 150m away, full use of garden. The space This area of West Havelland is great for nature-lovers of all kinds, bird watchers, cycling enthusiasts (including off-road), stressed city dwellers needing a break, tourists looking for off-the-beaten-path adventure, and English, French and German speakers. The village is only 90 minutes / 100 km by car from central Berlin via highway B5. For those using the Deutsche Bahn to reach Strodehne via Rathenow or Neustadt-Dosse, FREE shuttle service is also available from the DB busstop “Rhinow Grundschule”, with stops at the grocery store possible. Most who visit here leave with the feeling that they have been on vacation, even after 24 hours. The air is clean and fresh, it is quiet and there are few man-made visual distractions which might prevent you from relaxing. You can walk for hours without encountering another person! Wifi and satellite television are of course available. The natural beach, Natur Badestelle a.k.a. Baby Beach, is 150 m and a quick 4-minute walk away, and it is possible to rent canoes and kayaks in the village. LGBTQ* friendly. Guest access The large garden with expansive views of the river and scenery is available for all guests. Two padded lounge chairs and a table and chairs for dining outdoors are also included. For families with a small child, a child’s bed and a high chair are available at no extra cost. Off street parking is available. Other things to note *There is a small, 12 kg miniature Australian shepherd on the premises. She is a great watchdog and once you meet her and she knows you (!), she will be your friend for life. She is always on the line when guests are present, so that the garden can be enjoyed by all. *We are a non-discriminatory, children-friendly, small child-friendly and LGBTQ-friendly household. Everyone is welcome! *For families with a small child, a child‘s bed and high chair are available for your use at no additional cost. *For those guests arriving by bicycle, please let us know in advance and we will ensure that there is plenty of bottled water ready for you when you arrive. *The fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, like salt, sugar and spices, coffee and tea, oil and vinegar, etc. to get you started. If something is missing, it can surely be found in our apartment. Just ask! We want your stay to be pleasant and not interrupted by many trips to the grocery store. Please note that there is NO GROCERY STORE in the village. *The one Gaststätte in the village only has a very limited menu. It is advisable to talk to them one day in advance if you would like to eat a regular meal at midday or in the evening. *Canoes and kayaks can be rented from Fischer Schröder in the village.
