The Barn at Titley is a stunning Grade 2 listed barn conversion furnished in boutique-hotel style. Open-plan first floor living space soars into the eaves for a little " wow" factor, with gallery above. Beams abound with oak/slate floors. Two four-poster beds to spoil our guests. En-suite bathroom and wet room. Views of hills and forests. Private front garden. Shared courtyard to rear. Adjacent to nature reserve with lakes and the Stagg gastro-pub which our guests love! The space The Barn, graded 5 stars according to VisitBritain standards, has been sensitively converted and you are assured a comfortable stay. The main living space is on the first floor to take advantage of the dramatic A-frame beam soaring into the eaves of the barn. The bespoke sycamore kitchen overlooking the rear courtyard is well-equipped with e.g. food processor, Sophie Conran crockery and washer-dryer. The living space which has lovely views over forests and hills has been thoughtfully furnished using natural materials to complement the barn's heritage. Dining table with seating for 4/5. There is a sunny spot for reading. The gallery under the eaves, overlooking the living space, is perfect for teenagers or a quiet read (or even a little work if you really have to)! It is furnished with a single bed to provide some flexibility with sleeping arrangements. There is also a sofa, coffee table and desk. Downstairs there are two four-poster bedrooms (we like to spoil our guests!). The cosy, traditional king-size carved oak four-poster bedroom has a travertine-lined en-suite bathroom ( bath with shower over). The double bedroom has a contemporary colonial-style four-poster. with wet room ( shower and sink). This bedroom opens out onto the courtyard so you can easily pop out for your morning coffee. There is a cloakroom (compact) adjacent to the bedrooms. With underfloor heating throughout, you will be kept you toasty in the cooler months. To the front is a private garden with patio, small lawn and flower beds. Dining set for 4 and BBQ. This catches the evening sun and is perfect for dining al fresco with a view. To the rear is a large sunny courtyard shared with other barns and planted with shrubs and flowers. We have a dining table and chairs for 4. It is so relaxing sitting here for breakfast or a morning coffee in the sun listening to the gentle creaking of the barns! The bird-life at the barn is astonishing due to the nearby nature reserve and it is an added bonus at many times of the year. Parking for two cars only. Finally, the barn is our own holiday home and furnished as a home, not purely as a holiday let and we know our guests love the attention to detail that comes with this. We have been nominated for a Plum Guide award given to the top 3% of holiday properties. Guest access Guests have full private access to all parts of our barn. The front garden is for guests' private use. The rear courtyard is communal and shared with the 6 other barns on the estate but is barred to traffic. There is parking for one car immediately outside our barn and parking for one additional car on the estate. Other things to note Bedrooms - please note the space around part of the king-size bed is a little tight so may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. There is room for a travel cot in the blue, double bedroom. There is a single bed on the gallery under the eaves - great for teenagers and adults ( not suitable for younger children for safety reasons). This provides flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Child Safety Gate -we provide a safety gate for use on the bedroom doors. Please note this is not suitable for use on stairs.
