Description
The Chellington Centre is a child and wheelchair-friendly extended and refurbished church designed for one group, sole-use. You have 16 beds in 7 private bunkrooms, 2 large lounges, brilliant views, vaulted main hall for food and games, campfire + barbeque with rural walks straight from door.. “We found the Centre well-organised and perfect for our family gathering as many of us are nature lovers. The open playing field offered a lovely space for games and the children roamed the area safely”. The space The emphasis is very much on accessing the countryside all around but indoors we have 16 lounge chairs, 6 bench-style sofa beds in one of the break out rooms, there are bean bags, dining chairs and tables available to set-up how you would like. We are designed to host a variety of groups so our accommodation is flexible, 7 bunkrooms have stowable bunks with mattresses which can be set-up as singles, doubles, triples or fours, with two rooms as fives if that's what you need. Bed linen and towels - bring your own or we can usually hire them to you but do make a charge. 4G wifi included. Add Media Package to include 45" flat screen (fibre-linked) for cinema option, includes PA, Karaoke, DVD player and discs. 4 cubicled showers, 6 toilets and 8 wash sinks. Separate full access shower room and toilet. We have silver Green Tourism award. The stone floors are underfloor heated, so warm floors in the winter and the building is fully insulated. The water and heating are powered by air-source heat-pump. Lighting is LED. Guest access The whole site/Centre is yours with no other guests or staff staying. The rounders/playing field is also yours. There is plenty of free parking in our large car park and if you close the upper gate, no one else will disturb you. The adjacent fields are immediately accessible just outside our main gates and clearly marked footpaths take you 4 different ways, two down to the river and over into the wildfowl country park and the other along an historical coaching path. The village is about 250 metres away on foot or by car about 400 metres. There is a farm about 250 metres away over the Felmersham country road. Other things to note The Centre is situated overlooking a river with good views and walks in all directions. If you just want to be together without going far, the Ibbett lounge is a space to hang out with serious panoramic views to the horizon. You can enjoy the free table tennis, table football, giant Jenga, giant connect 4. Please bring adequate outdoor clothing, a jumper for an inpromptu camp fire and indoor shoes or similar for lounging or flip flops for shower cubicle.
