The Old Brewery, Lower Calbourne Mill

Experience staying in an 18th century brewery which is part of the privately owned Lower Calbourne Mill, nestled in the village of Newbridge. Just 3 miles from Yarmouth and 4 miles from the beach, the listed brewery has a beautiful garden which is bordered by the river and the gentle trickle of the mill stream. A perfect escape, ideally placed for walkers and cyclists; the vaulted brewery living space has cosy sofas, a log burner, fully equipped kitchen and large dining table for entertaining. The space Patio doors lead out from the living area to a peaceful garden bordered by two mill streams. Relaxed seating and BBQ. Please remember to bring charcoal if you want to make use of the BBQ. Points to note. The owners need to access the rear of the garden. When the seasons turn colder, the property requires the use of the log burner as well as the electric storage heaters to keep it toasty. Do bring your slippers. Sleeping arrangements - The double sofa bed is in the living area. Super king bed in the bedroom with the option to add a small pull out single and/or travel cot all in the one shared bedroom. Access to the toilet and shower is through this bedroom. Please let us know what beds you will need to use when you book. Guest access You are more than welcome to visit the Mill which has original features from the bakery and machinery dating back to the 18th century. Although it is no longer a working Mill, it is all still there. Other things to note If you are looking to book for the weekend of the Isle of Wight Festival, please note this is a 3 or 4 night minimum booking rather than the usual 2 night minimum stay.
