A lovely room with a touch of Scandinavian design in the heart of Hillerød and Northern Zealand. The place is located 700 meters from Frederiksborg Castle, 1 km to the city center, 1 km to the station and 35 minutes by train to Copenhagen. Welcome! The space Hello dear guest and welcome to heaven in Hillerød! I’m the proud son of your hosts Inger and Oluf, and I have the honor of presenting their place to you. Cause who is better to do that, than a person who have lived in the house the very first 18 years of his life? DANSK: Velkommen! | The Area | Are you looking for a central location for sightseeing in northern Zealand and Copenhagen, Hillerød is the absolutely the best place to stay. With only 700 meters to the royal gardens of Frederiksborg Slot, 7 km to the Queens summer residents and 1 km to the station and additionally 35 minutes to Copenhagen you are located just perfect. The royal gardens is bespoke for a nice walk a sunny day, and you can also run or bike the most beautiful trip around the castles and continue into the biggest forests in Denmark “Gribskov” and “Storedyrehave”. I really enjoy moving around in the nearby nature. It’s a lovely feeling to be surrounded by nature and culture, even though Copenhagen is just a 30 km away. It’s actually a very nice trip by bike to Copenhagen, and the train home in the night. The best way to discover is, as my parents say, “by bike or hike”. Danish: The area is close to both city and country. Frederiksborg Castle, Fredensbrog Castle, Storedyrehave and Gribskov are all in the nearby area. In addition, it is 5 minutes to Hillerød station and 5 minutes to Hillerød Centrum. | The most welcoming hosts | My parents are something for themselves. They are so welcoming, hospitable, helpful and very interested. They are hosts for a reason; they will discover the world in any aspect and in any time also when they are at home. They love to invite you in, listen to your story and get to know your culture and who you are. I promise that they will make the best conditions for your stay. Danish: We are very accommodating as hosts and are happy to help with miscellaneous. | The rooms | The rooms and the living room are a story in itself. It is so homelike with the feeling of being comfortable as if it was your own house, but still with the Scandinavian touch of design and high-level comfort. When I visit my parents, I call it the Homely Hotel without saying too much ;) There are access to the ground floor and access to the garden. Breakfast is served in the private living room. Danish: The rooms are homely but are of high hotel-like standard with Scandinavian design. There is access to the ground floor and access to the garden. Breakfast is served in the attached dining room. | The Breakfast | My mother makes a simple but very lovely breakfast, and she sometimes brings her own vegetables from the garden into the menu. The tea and coffee is free of charge, so please help yourself. If you like to spice the breakfast up with your own milk, homemade bread, yogurt or cold cuts you can use the fridge. Serving time: 08:00-09:00 Dansk: Breakfast consists of homemade bread, cheese, cold cuts, and jams. Sometimes with vegetables from the garden! It is served between 08:00-09:00 | The fridge | There is no kitchen for your use, but there is a fridge where you can place whatever is necessary for your needs. In the fridge there is also beverages which you can buy for 10 DKK for a soda and 10 DKK for a bear. That might be nice after a long travel. Danish: There is a fridge where you can store various things, as there is no kitchen available. Here you can buy soft drinks and beer for 10 DKK each. From me to you.
