Self-contained barn, nestled on a working farm overlooking the fields of the Roding Valley, perfectly placed to explore rural East Anglia and unwind with family and friends. The space Designed by leading architects and completed in July 2018, the zinc-roofed Fieldbarns are situated in open countryside on the edge of fields in an extremely quiet and beautiful corner of North Essex. Woolmers has been finished to a very high standard with granite worktops, oak floors and bespoke furnishings. Underfloor heating and hot water are powered by air-source heat pump and thermostatically controlled 24/7 so it’s always the right temperature. You also have a wood-burning stove and supply of logs for extra-cosy nights in. In the wild flower meadow you will find picnic benches, umbrellas and a barbecue in the wild flower meadow with views out over the fields. Woolmers together with one other or both of our other two barn properties can be booked together to sleep up to 8 or 12. Explore the countryside from the door with maps provided which will take you through the beautiful Essex Countryside Guest access Woolmers is completely private and secure. You will have use of a shared boot room which has a washing machine, dryer, additional American-style fridge/freeze and ice maker (in addition to the fridge freezer in the barn). Woolmers is excellent for guests with small children as there are no steps of thresholds in addition to no cupboard knobs. It is also suitable for guests with disabilities with a wide double entrance doorway and generous turning spaces inside. Each barn has an allocation of 2 car parking spaces. Please keep to the marked paths, which can be seen on the maps provided. Do not feed or go into the animal paddocks for your safety.
