Cosy cottage near Bakewell & Matlock- dog friendly

Linden Cottage is ideal for a couple or family wanting to explore the local attractions. It has a secure courtyard garden, perfect for dogs or an alfresco lunch! The cottage is located in the historic Derbyshire village of Darley Bridge, with two village pubs, situated between the market town of Bakewell & bustling Matlock. It is the ideal location to explore the Peak District, Derbyshire Dales & the historic houses & gardens of Chatsworth House & Haddon Hall. The space The Space Linden cottage is a typical 18th Century Derbyshire cottage and was refurbished in 2020. Situated in Darley Bridge, a friendly village between Bakewell and Matlock it is the perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and all Derbyshire has to offer! The cottage can accommodate a couple, family or small group of friends. The front bedroom (sleeps 2) has a king size bed and we can provide a travel cot for this bedroom if you require. The second bedroom (sleeps 3) has a double bed with a high, single bunk above it. This room is small so please consider this when booking. The traditional cosy sitting room, at the front of the cottage, has a multi-fuel Clearview burner – perfect for those cosy nights in! Through the sitting room there is a dining area and downstairs WC. At the rear of the cottage you will find a bright, airy kitchen and an enclosed courtyard garden, perfect for dogs. Upstairs, along with the bedrooms, there is a single toilet and wash basin and a separate single shower. Free parking is available up the road from the cottage. We are a dog friendly Air B&B but do request dogs are not left alone in the property and that they stay downstairs. The village is lucky to have two country pubs which serve food, The Three Stags Heads & The Square and Compass. We recommend booking if you are wanting to eat in the pubs as they do get busy. More amenities like Co-op, cafes, Barringtons pub & The Whitworth Park are within a 10/15 minute walk in Darley Dale. There is a Sainsbury's, M&S and Iceland in Matlock and an Aldi and Co-op in Bakewell. Please send us a message if you need any more information. We look forward to hosting you! Other things to note Please see photos and description for downstairs WC and washing machine, separate upstairs WC and separate small upstairs shower. The cottage does not have a full bathroom as there are only 2 rooms upstairs. The cottage is small and we have tried to maximise sleeping arrangements to fit 2 adults in bedroom 1 (king bed) and 3 children sharing bedroom 2 (double bed and single high sleeper).
