The SHORES is a cozy duplex cottage with private water access, discounted boat docks for rent, and a beautiful sandy beach nearby. It is located on Bird Creek. You will be just a 3-minute walk to shopping, outdoor dining and the Port Austin Harbor. Accommodations consist of a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps six to eight (unit 2) and a one-bedroom cottage (unit 1) that sleeps four to six. Rent one unit or the entire property for a unique getaway your friends and family will remember forever. Unit 2 has a lake view but is not directly on the water. Bird Creek Park is about 50 yards away with a playground, restrooms and a sandy beach. Unit 1 is directly on (partially over) Bird Creek. Unit 1 deck is a great spot to watch the sunset, kayakers and boats go by in the summer. We have completely painted the inside of both units and have a painter scheduled for this fall (2020) to complete the exterior. All bedding is new, including the pillows, sheets, beds and futon covers. Unit 2 and Unit 1 share access to the large side yard with a fire pit. Unit 2 has a lovely private front porch. Unit 1 has a private deck overlooking Bird Creek. We live in Port Austin, so we are available as needed. The Shores is centrally located in Port Austin, Michigan. The vacation rental property is on the harbor and just steps from a sandy beach. Walk into town and visit local shops and restaurants. There is so much fun to be had! Enjoy water sports on Lake Huron, go fishing or kayaking, or check out the Farmer’s Market for the freshest vegetables and handmade arts and crafts. This part of Lake Huron is well known for its abundant sports fishing. You can dock your own boat on the property or use one of the top charter captains in the area. This area was voted one of the top areas to kayak in the country, with many fascinating locations, such as world-famous Turnip Rock, and much more! The property is on the water, with docks available, with direct access to Port Austin Harbor and Lake Huron, known for its pleasure boating and water sports. Port Austin is walker-friendly community, and bike and electric trike rentals are a short walk away.
