A Writer's House

A two-storey traditional stone house, fully equipped, with wifi, comfortable and cool, ideal for those who want the experience of the Greek summer in one of the most picturesque mountain villages of the Peloponnese, combining lacy beaches (5 minutes by car), walks in the verdant mountains or the ancient treasures (Olympia, Mycenae, Epidaurus) but also the colorful liveliness of the neighboring cities (Akrata, Aigio, Patras, etc.). The space The house is built in the heart of Ano Platanos, a traditional village overlooking the sea. The thick stone walls and cobblestone floors, the wooden ceilings and the old frames are elements of the local architecture that we respected. The unique view, the feeling of the village, the surrounding nature and the sunny gardens offer authentic experiences of Aigialia. Soula (Pierrakou), a Greek writer who lived and loved this house, said that the holidays in it always had the magical property to calm you down and creatively charge your batteries. She was absolutely right! Today this house opens its doors and invites everyone to discover the unique beauties of the area in an authentic and creative environment. Guests can enjoy this traditional house and all that the surrounding area generously offers: beaches for every taste, paths, the Styx Waters, Tsivlou Lake, the ancient theater of Aigeira, Zarouchla, Kalavryta and the jagged, mountainous villages as well as unique beach bars and taverns! Guest access The house is fully available: 4 bedrooms, living room with dining area, kitchen, office, two bathrooms, terrace and courtyard with garden. The house was renovated in April 2018. Other things to note Useful information: The two floors of the house are connected by an internal staircase. Each floor has its own bathroom with hot water, refrigerator and tap water. The house is so cool you don't even need AC. Children, always under adult supervision, can play in the courtyard of the house but also in the large village square next to the house. The car is absolutely useful for shopping in nearby towns, for the sea and for walks in the mountains. Platanos has cafes and tavernas with good traditional cuisine. Registration Details 00000035189
