Appletree Cottages offers tranquil bed and breakfast and/or self-catered accommodation to a high standard. Our charming property is found in Barton Mills, a delightful location to unwind and is excellently located, equidistant to Newmarket, Bury St. Edmunds, Thetford and Ely. With our comfortable accommodations and convenient position, we are a suitable base for exploring this part of Suffolk. The space Our beautiful family bedroom in Appletree Cottages has its own private bathroom, and a shared kitchen, dining and patio area. The family bedroom contains a king size double, sleeping up to two people and a sofa bed, also sleeping up to two people. There is plenty of parking on the road immediately outside of the cottage. Complimentary WiFi provided. Breakfast can be provided at an additional cost: - Our Continental Basket includes fresh rolls and pastries, meats and cheeses, fruit juices, preserves and butter. - Our Traditional Basket includes fresh bread, fruit juices, locally sourced eggs, bacon and sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms. The cost of breakfast is £6 per person. Guest access The cottage can be booked either per room or in its entirety depending on availability. Please note that there is a shared kitchen and dining area, however both rooms in the cottage have their own en suite bathrooms. During your stay We offer a warm welcome and are more than happy to share information/advice on surrounding tourist attractions and organise/ book taxis, restaurants, theatres etc Other things to note Appletree Cottages is located on the edge of the beautiful Thetford Forest, well known for its wildlife, walks and off-road cycling. The beautiful town of Bury St. Edmunds with its Georgian Theatre Royal and marvellous cathedral is a 20-minute drive, whilst the ancient market town of Newmarket, well known for horses, horse-racing and annual Newmarket Nights open-air concerts, is just 15 minutes away by car. A little further on, you have Cambridge and Norwich, both only less than an hour away from the hotel. Newmarket train station is nine miles away. There is good train/coach access to London.
