Douglas Cottage is a grade II listed cottage within the City of Chester, designed by the renowned Architect John Douglas. Being of a fascinating fairytale gothic design it features sandstone faced walls with spires and turrets, an Architect’s dream. You will immediately be struck by the remarkably high quality of accommodation comprising of:- A most attractive living room with original mullion windows and outstanding fireplace. Dining room with heavy oak banqueting table and antique oak furniture and double gothic type doors opening to a lovely patio area. A pristine superbly equipped kitchen with an adjoining utility area and toilet facilities. A winding staircase leads to the upper floors which feature three immaculately presented comfortable bedrooms. Briefly, on the first floor we have the superb master bedroom with a turreted reading area with a king size Victorian style bedstead. The single bedroom features a cream & brass Victorian style bedstead with a Hypnos pocket sprung mattress. Both rooms share the beautiful main bathroom with shower bath and fully tiled walls. On the top floor we have the twin bedroom, with 2 x single beds, which also features a superbly appointed en-suite shower room. Further Details All linen and towels are provided. End of stay cleaning is included in the rental price but guests are expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy order. Conditions:- Strictly no smoking and no naked flames ie candles. No pets.
