Historic Old Stables in central Bishops Stortford

The Old Stables are in a courtyard, set back from Windhill, right in the heart of Bishops Stortford, close to restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. Conversion of a historic coach-house and stables into a self-contained cottage which sleeps 4 or even 5/6 by arrangement. There is a high-ceilinged entrance hall with wood burner. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped. There are two double beds in the same room (one on a mezzanine floor above the other) and a double sofa bed in the dining area. The space The Stables are set back from the road, in a courtyard with parking for ONE CAR ONLY. It is very well-positioned, tucked away just off the best residential street in Bishop's Stortford. It is right in the centre of town, a five minute walk to the railway station and close to countless pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops and parking for any additional cars. There is a small wood-burning stove with logs provided. You can feel the character of the building as in the eighteenth century it was the stables, tack room and coach house for the big Manor House. Guest access The entire space is available to guests, including most of the Courtyard (one other car is sometimes parked there). Please be aware, the stairs to the mezzanine level are steep and narrow. There is a small step up by the front door and internally a small step separating the entrance area from the bathroom/bedroom.
