Exclusive House – Ensuite

Perched in the Tannwald between the Landskron Fortress and Mariastein, right on the border, this large country house offers, throughout the seasons, a true paradise for those who know how to discover it. This house offers 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 3 living rooms, and a large garden with a swimming pool and magnificent views of Switzerland and the Landskron. The space Perched in the Tannwald forest, between the Landskron fortress and Mariastein, right on the border, this large country house offers, throughout the seasons, a true paradise to those who know how to discover it.It already existed in 1690: it is indeed depicted in a painting from that period. It was an annex of the Landskron Fortress, built as a fortified house (very thick, fortified wall to the south, small well still in place). We stayed there with our 4 children, aged 18, and loved this house above all for its magnificent view, its location in Tannwald, its surroundings, which are constantly changing and ideal for beautiful hikes (Mariastein, Landskron Castle, the forests, etc.), as well as its proximity to Basel, which is easily accessible by tram, bicycle, or car. To make this house accessible to everyone, we are pleased to offer it today as a guest house for stays of three days or one week. To provide the best service, we work with our friends Sophie and Philippe Koenig: a true family affair. Indeed, this house belonged to their family. We offer: • 5 bedrooms spread over two floors (3 bedrooms for couples with a double bed, and 2 bedrooms for children with separate beds), • 3 bathrooms, one on each floor (bathtub or shower), • 1 fully equipped kitchen (for up to 10 people), • 1 dining room, • 3 lounge areas: • One with an Alsatian earthenware stove (Kachelofen), particularly effective in winter, • Another one on the veranda, allowing you to enjoy the view and share wonderful moments with family, • The third unit on the top floor, with a balcony and exceptional views. You'll also enjoy the garden, the swimming pool, and the unobstructed view, which is not overlooked.
