Located in the central conservation area of Reepham, near Lincoln, with off-road parking, this beautiful spacious apartment offers a comfortable place to stay, an ideal retreat for creatively interested & caring people. Below the living area is a former pottery workshop, which is not currently in use. The space If you are looking for a place which has character, if you like ceramics, wood, personal histories relating to art, crafts and design you will like it here. The decor has a contemporary quality, informed by Scandinavian design, reflecting the cultural content of this former family home. The large entrance hall is a room itself, with wonderful wooden staircase which leads to the main accommodation upstairs. The kitchen is small but well equipped, with plenty of space in the cupboards and fridges, and a view over tree tops and village gardens. The large living-room is comfortable, spacious and bright. It overlooks the garden and has a door onto the balcony. It is open plan with adjoining annex/ dining room / study space, with art and poetry books. The balcony overlooking the garden is lovely in the summer. With benches in season it is ideal for sitting with coffee or eating out. Walk along the landing to the blue bathroom which has a bath with shower taps, but not a stand-up shower. Next is the bunk bedroom, ideal for children, but comfortable for slim and agile adults. At the end of the landing is the main cosy double bedroom. Next to the entrance hall downstairs, is the spacious bedroom No 2 on the listing. This has a double bed, a small hand-wash basin. Also a desk, table, chairs, an out-of-tune piano, a washing machine and a clothes dryer in here. This property is ideal for one or two couples. It will accommodate six people, though with only one bathroom it's better with less. Only 10 minutes drive from Lincoln, it is perfectly situated for visiting the Wolds or East coast. The gated entrance is narrow and you will need to take care reversing out onto the road in the centre of the village. Other things to note There is a good fast fibre WiFi connection (download speed of 35.6, upload speed of 9.25, with 14ms latency). There is a smart TV - you will need your own passwords to access Netflix, Disney, Rakuten etc. There are poetry books, novels, radios and an out of tune piano for you to enjoy. Instant hot water from the A rated combination boiler. Shower taps on the bath are for use in the bath, not for stand-up showers. Wood for the wood-burner is £3.00 per basket, after the first free basket. This is a trust/honesty arrangement so leave money for the amount you have used in an envelope in the house, marked 'For Sue'. If you book a long stay for more than two weeks, cleaning of the house will be arranged. Smoking is not allowed.
