Luxurious austerity
Les chambres de La Serre
Description
In the heart of Le Rougier de Camarès, in the land of menhir statues, close to Sylvanès Abbey, surrounded by nature, on a small hill crowned by centuries-old oak trees, in a true writers’ house, the Luxueuse Austérité room welcomes you for a nature-focused stay in a quiet and inspiring setting. The space The Luxueuse Austérité bedroom, with a large living area featuring a seating area and a bookcase, is equipped with a convertible double bed (160 cm or 2 single 80-cm beds, ideal to suit your needs). It features a private ensuite bathroom with a toilet and a walk-in shower. From the window of this bedroom, which will be furnished in spring 2024, you might catch a glimpse of deer frolicking in the early morning. Outside, a large terrace offers a real living space, inviting you to relax in the open air on a lounge chair, read in the shade, or enjoy the end of the day in a peaceful and soothing setting. Wake up to the silence of the greenhouse, surrounded by centuries-old oak trees, and enjoy a homemade, mostly organic and local breakfast (vegan and gluten-free options available on request) served in the summer kitchen, unless the weather invites you to enjoy it on one of the slate terraces. “Luxurious Austerity” is the title of a book by Marie Rouanet. La Serre is where she wrote a large part of her work. What our guests had to say Rated 9.9/10 by our guests on “chambresdhotes” and 5 stars on Google.
